H&M likes to create buzz around celebrities and the latest to have accepted the challenge is the Selena Gomez’s new boyfriend, the singer The Weeknd, the stage name of Abel Tesfaye, who signed a spring collection in collaboration with the Swedish giant.
Entitled “Spring Icons selected by The Weeknd”, the collection, all in sobriety, offers a complete wardrobe of basics in a chic urban style. No frills, just like the artist! Sober and minimalist, the collection is mainly dominated by black and dark khaki, illuminated by two neutral tones, beige and white. It includes raw-edge jersey T-shirts, a light coat, sweaters, a motorbiker jacket, shirts and denim.
“When I chose the pieces for Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd, I was thinking about the way men dress today. It’s about finding the right balance between sharp and casual, with all the details that count,” said Abel Tesfaye, The Weeknd.
Directed in Los Angeles, the campaign was photographed by Federico Pestilli and the video was shot by Keith Kandell.
The collection is currently on sale in all H & M stores and will retail from $14.99 to $79.99.
